We believe in the ethical application of technology. It matters to us and we specialize in supporting the critical operations of companies and organizations dedicated to public benefit, particularly those driving positive social, economic, and environmental impact.
The Near Future is led by Fredrick Maynor, a futurist and operations leader with over 35 years of experience in technology integration across multiple industries. He played a key role in advancing the adoption of microcomputers across business lines, establishing design and integration principles still used today. His clients have included General Electric, Time Inc., Disney, Readers’ Digest, AT&T/NYNEX, Consumer Reports, NBC, Merrill Lynch, and American Express.
For Paradigm Group Management Consulting, he led development of the first fully web-based online training system for NBC/General Electric. In 2004, he founded The Near Future to introduce a new data compression algorithm for the emerging remote video industry, later adopted by Microsoft, Panasonic, and other major technology companies. From 2007 to 2013, Fredrick was Managing Director of Clearlight Video, and from 2014 to 2015, he led supercomputer data analysis and product transition for Reed Exhibitions. From 2016 to 2021, as Vice President of Strategy and Programs at commercial and military aviation support provider United Aero Group, he led strategy and created a 12-company international consortium of aviation service, industrial supply, transport, and construction companies.
The Near Future is a proud reseller of video surveillance systems by Eagle Eye Networks™. Our installations are fully licensed and insured. Contact us to discuss your system requirements.
